Canada Express Entry is one of the most popular immigration programs offering Canada permanent residency. The program is simple and introduced by the federal government in January 2015. Express Entry is not an immigration program in itself, but it is actually an online system created to manage Canada’s immigration application intake.

How Express Entry Works

Express Entry is an online immigration system that manages skilled workers applications for permanent residence for Canada under federal and other provincial nominee programs.

What Is the Express Entry Process?

Applicants submit an online profile to the express entry pool.
Points can be calculated via CRS(Comprehensive Ranking System).
Points are based on various factors like Age, Education, Work Experience, Language Skills, Blood relation in Canada & Spouse Language Skills.
Additional points can be scored if you have a qualified job offer or provincial nomination
The top-scoring candidates are issued ITA(Invitation to Apply) and then they can apply for Permanent residency.
Once ITA is issued, the applicant has 60 days to submit the complete documents and proceed with the application.
The processing time varies depending upon the applicant but usually, it takes 6 to 8 months.
